MAY 15, 2005 SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

(or how to be screwed by your insurance carrier)

We are saddened to report that as of May 15, 2005, after more than a quarter-of-a-century of providing comprehensive on-site first aid and medical services at venues and events throughout California, the services division of Event Medical Services is closed. The Medical Products Division remains open and we encourage your support for any pre-hospital equipment and supply requirements.

This action is not by our choice, rather the result of our insurance carrier (for the past ten years) reaching an arbitrary decision that we no longer met their "underwriting guidelines" ... guidelines which they currently refuse to disclose. This non-renewal and notices sent to numerous customers created a breach of confidence and panic among a number of our customers who sought replacement vendors, and quite frankly, we cannot blame them. This egregious conduct on behalf of the insurer and their underwriting team, has forced us to refocus business efforts to the Medical Product side of the business, a division that began in 1982, for mere survival.. We encourage your support and use of EMS MEDICAL PRODUCTS for any of your pre-hospital medical supply or equipment needs. Our friendly team is ready to assist and serve you.
