EMS Medical Oxygen Cylinders are selected from the top manufactures. Available in lightweight aluminum or composite or steel. They come in several different sizes to accommodate all the many usages or oxygen supply needed.

Capacity listed in liters and specifies the volume of oxygen contained in the cylinder when charged to full service capacity (2000 PSI for aluminum and steel. 3000 PSI for composite.)

LUXFER CARBON COMPOSITE FULL-WRAP CYLINDERS

Composite cylinders are widely accepted as the new generation in advanced cylinder technology. First introduced in the 1960's it is still considered the state of the art in vessel technology by NASA. This technology combines dramatic weight reduction (up to 70%) with increased capacity (up to 60%) of 1868 liters. Extra capacity is gain thru increased pressure of up to 3000 PSI and require a regulators rated for this increased pressure. The M06, M15 and M22 Cylinders are standard yoke pin indexed mount. The M66 features the CGA 540 type valve.

Size-These cylinders are sized relative to existing size standards:

M06 is 9.87" long and is the compact likeness of the aluminum M6 11.6"
M15 measures 14.6" long to the "D" at 16.2"
M22 is 15.47" long and is comparable to the Jumbo "D" in length of 16.3"
M66 resembles the M60 23" long "In-house Tank"

The three main components of a high-performance Luxfer Medical carbon composite cylinder are:

A seamless liner of highest-quality aluminum— This ultra-lightweight liner provides about 10 percent of the strength of the overall cylinder, which gets most of its strength from the fiber over wrap.
Ultra-high-strength carbon fibers in an epoxy matrix— The main strength of the cylinder is provided by an exceptionally strong carbon-fiber wrap, which surrounds the liner on all sides.
Extra layer of glass fiber— This additional fiber layer on the outside of the cylinder provides extra resistance to wear, damage and corrosion.
